How to Prepare Your HVAC System for Winter

Conduct regular inspections.  The best way to make sure that your HVAC system is working efficiently  is to conduct regular inspections at least twice a year. Change filters and clean vents.  One of the reasons why your HVAC system may be faulty is dirt and dust build-up in the filtering system. For example, you can program your thermostat to turn up 30 minutes before you wake up, so it’s nice and warm by the time you roll out of bed.
